Boiler installation

Most boilers we replace are between 14 and 18 years old. They still work, but breakdowns become more frequent and parts get harder to find. Wait until it gives up in January and you have fewer options.

Which boiler suits your home?

For a flat with one bathroom a CW4 boiler is plenty. With a rain shower or two bathrooms you end up at CW5 or CW6. We look at your home and how you use it, not at what happens to be in stock.

We always ask about your plans too. If you are going to insulate or get a heat pump within a few years, we pick a boiler that will work with it later.

Installation day

We start at half past seven. The old boiler comes off, the pipes are flushed and the new boiler is up by around midday. By the end of the day you have hot water and we show you how to top up the pressure.

Questions about boiler installation

Which brands do you fit?

Mainly Remeha, Intergas and Vaillant. We keep parts for those three in stock, so a breakdown is usually fixed quickly.

Am I still allowed to buy a gas boiler?

Yes. There is no ban on replacing a boiler. We will tell you honestly whether a hybrid heat pump would pay for itself in your home, though.

Boiler broke down on a Friday. By Monday a new one was up, including a new flue through the roof. Tidied up nicely and clearly explained.
